Unlock Your Future! Scholarship Info Seminar!
Raised in North Vancouver and now a Burnaby resident, Brittany Palmer is the creator and force behind Unlock your Future (UYF). Brittany went through the scholarship process in 2005 during her grade 12 year and was fortunate enough to win more than $56,000; $36,550 of which applied directly to her post-secondary education. In June 2009, Brittany graduated debt-free from Simon Fraser University with her Bachelor of Arts in Communication.
In September 2005, Brittany created UYF to help other students see the various funding opportunities that are available to them. To date she has helped thousands of students with the scholarship process. As a testament to the strength of the UYF program, one need only look at Brittany’s younger brother, Bo. Bo started the UYF program in his grade 10 year and graduated from high school in 2007 with over $67,000 in scholarships, surpassing Brittany herself.
Come out to Yale on Wednesday, September 19th at 7pm in the Theatre to hear Brittney's presentation and get your graduate on the path to earning money for university.

Yale Grads Earn Record Number of Scholarships!
The Ministry of Education changed the rules for earning a provincial scholarship and the grads of 2012 were the first to try them out. The new criteria for earning $1000 are now based on exam results in grades 10, 11, and 12. For a grad to be eligible, he or she must score at least one A and three Bs on 4 of the 5 provincial exams, and finish with a mark of B or higher in Language Arts 12. Yale's 2012 grads took full advantage of the new guidelines, earning a total of 63 provincial scholarships. Congratulations to those whose hard work literally paid off.
