jisup

Yale Secondary is sending students to the National Physics and Mathematic Olympiad Training Camps for the first time ever.  Ji Sup Kim and Sungil Ahn join a long line of chemistry students before them as they head off to train for a possible place on the Canadian teams.  What is particularly impressive is that neither student is in grade 12.  Sungil is only in 9th grade.  He has been invited to the University of Toronto to train for a possible spot a future Canadian Math Olympics team.  This year's International Math Olympiad is in Buenos Aires.  Sungil recently won the senior division of the UCFV math contest.  Ju Sup is an 11th grade student.  He has been invited to train at UBC for a possible position on this year's four member Canadian Physics Olympics team.  The International Physics Olympiad will be held this July in Estonia.  Ji Sup just returned from UBC with a trophy won at their annual Chemistry Lab Skills Competition.  He was also a member of the Yale team that took first place this year at the Trinity Western Chemistry Olympiad.  Yale has had five previous students on Canadian Chemistry Olympiad teams, three of whom have won medals at International Olympiads attended by teams from over 70 countries.
