Heavy Equipment Operator Program Open House

Please join us Thursday, April 7th, for the 2016 Abbotsford School District – Heavy Equipment Operator Training Program Annual Open House .
This is the 7th year that the Heavy Equipment Operator ACE IT Apprenticeship Program has been offered to fifteen grade 12 students in the Abbotsford School District. This year's fleet of heavy equipment has been generously donated by Inland Group and by SMS Equipment.

The goal of the HEO ACE IT Program is to safely train high school students in the practical and functional skills needed to become Heavy Equipment Operators. The program teaches safety on and around heavy equipment, including, articulated rock trucks, backhoes, dozers, excavators, graders and loaders. Upon successful completion of the program, students will earn a Certificate of Qualification – Level I in HEO and will be in a position to start an apprenticeship with employers to gain the required work based training hours.

For safety reasons, there will be a roped off area for this Open House viewing. Steel toed boots and/or sturdy footwear is strongly recommended.
