Yale CSLC Huge Success!

From September 26th to October 2nd, 13 Yale Secondary students had the opportunity to embark in a life changing Canadian leadership conference. This conference took place in Edmunston, New Brunswick with 1000 students and teachers engaging in the various activities the experience had to offer, while meeting countless new people from all over Canada. Students from Abbotsford’s own Yale Secondary participated in various workshops, took part in service work activities as well as learned a great deal from many inspirational key note speakers such as Tyler Durman and Alvin Law. To sum up the experience of the conference, students that partook used words such as “life-changing”, “inspirational” and “phenomenal”. They also stated that new people skills, ideas, refreshed attitudes and positive energy would be brought back to the community from learning done at the conference, impacting it in positive ways. As CSLC came to an end, these 13 students walked away from the conference with a brand new set of leadership skills, a newly inspired outlook on life, countless bonds with new friends all over Canada, and memories that will last a lifetime.
