The Board of Education’s goal is to provide each student in our District with a world class, personalized and innovative education. Achieving this goal, and others related to the Strategic Plan, requires feedback and constant improvement in all aspects of our work. Over the next 4 months the Abbotsford School District will be conducting a review of the French Immersion program. The review will help highlight promising practices and areas of challenge to inform short and long term planning.

Independent consultant, Dr. Michael Audet, will work with District staff, teachers, parents and students this fall. Based on qualitative and quantitative data gathered, a report containing unique strengths, promising practices, risks, and considerations for future directions will be presented to the Board of Education in January 2017.

We encourage all families, regardless of their French Immersion experience, to take part in this process. Your valuable feedback will assist us in determining our future priorities at the District.
